My Background

I have spent 20 years in the polymer and specialty chemicals industries, following receipt of a B.Sc. in physical organic chemistry from Aston University in the U.K., and a Ph. D. in (what was then called) biophysical chemistry from the California Institute of Technology. My specific technical and managerial experience was obtained at Du Pont, Ciba Specialty Chemicals, and Tredegar Film Products, and is in the following areas:

· Polymerization.

· Specialty chemicals.

· Polymer processing in general.

· Film processing in particular.

· Film and nonwoven applications – particularly in the hygiene area.

My practice as a patent agent is not limited to these areas, and there is enough breadth in this experience to give me insights into your goals as an inventor in most areas that involve the synthesis and use of industrial chemicals, polymers, or other materials.

Publications

My publication list follows. Patent applications that I have written or am a coinventor on, and that have not yet published, are confidential and are not listed here. Also not listed are applications that I have written under confidentiality agreement and that I am not prosecuting. Please contact me if you would like references to my work.
